Emsculpt uses High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) pulses to induce involuntary muscle contractions, simulating an intense workout to build muscle tissue and improve it’s tone. The procedure is non-invasive and requires no downtime. Each session lasts around 30 minutes and induces around 20 thousand muscle contractions.
During the treatment, your muscles will experience the same type of fatigue as they would through intensive exercise. In turn, the fatigue creates a series of microscopic injuries, which turn into muscle mass as the body heals.
You can expect to see results within the first couple of days of being treated with Emsculpt. Best results are seen usually after four sessions. You can maintain your results with regular exercise and with a single session every three or four months.
What Can Emsculpt Do?
Build & Define Muscle
Unlike the muscle contractions caused by voluntary contractions, aka exercise, Emsculpt induces what are known as supramaximal contractions which means that the movement recruits all muscle fibers not just a portion. This makes it more effective than exercise at quickly reforming and defining muscle tissue.
It is especially helpful for those who are already fairly fit and keep a low body fat percentage but want to see more dramatic results.
Sculpt Your Body
Emsculpt can facilitate the removal of fatty deposits from your body while simultaneously improving your muscle tone. The method is non-invasive and allows Dr. Stevens to help you reach your desired shape without painful or risky surgical procedures and no downtime.
Reduce Subcutaneous Fat
While Emsculpt is designed to strengthen muscle, an additional positive result is a reduction in subcutaneous fat. Those with little muscle mass tend to have more subcutaneous fat so by increasing the size and tone of your muscle tissue, you can reduce this type of body fat.
Strengthen & Sculpt Your Core
Your core is made up of your pelvis, back, and abdominal muscles. A weak core can cause problems with back pain, balance, skeletal alignment, posture, and physical stamina. Emsculpt can strengthen your core so that you not only look better but also feel better. A strong core will allow you to sit, stand, walk, and run with much greater ease.
Those who use Emsculpt for core sculpting are often thrilled with the final results, often finding that they are finally chisled enough to see their linea alba, the dileneating depression between the right abdominals and left abdominals, creating the coveted “six-pack” look.
Most of us tend to lose muscle tone and mass as we age, especially in our lower buttocks. Emsculpt can reverse this symptom of the aging process by generating increasing the mass of the gluteal muscles.
Until now, getting a firm and plump behind required spending years in the gym or opting for a butt lift, implants, or injections. These procedures, however, are highly controversial, and are associated with a lot of risks.
Emsculpt provides a non-surgical alternative to these expensive and potentially dangerous medical procedures.

How Long Does the Session Last and How Many Will I Need?
One Emsculpt session lasts for about 30 minutes. Most people need 4 of these sessions to see their desired results with an additional maintenance treatment every three months or so.
Does It Hurt?
It might sound difficult to believe, but Emsculpt is entirely painless! Most patients describe the sensation as a slight tickle, and a lot of them will start giggling during a session. There’s no reason for you to put off Emsculpt for fear of pain or discomfort.
How Much Time Will I Need to Recover?
After an Emsculpt session, you can get back to your normal activities almost immediately. What’s more, you probably won’t feel any differently than you do after a good workout.
Are There Any Risks?
There have been no reported side effects or risks associated with Emsculpt. That said, however, since Emsculpt uses powerful magnetic energy, it must not be used around metal implants including metal hip and knee replacements, bolts, screws, or pacemakers. Your technician will discuss any possible contraindications with you prior to treatment to ensure that you are a good candidate for Emsculpt.
How Soon Can I Expect to See Results, and How Long Will They Last?
There will be a noticeable difference in the appearance of the treated area as soon as you step off the treatment table and the results will become more dramatic within the first week of treatment. Full results can be seen in the months following your sessions. Maintaining a regular workout regimen and returning for a maintenance treatment every 3-4 months will keep your results from fading.
Can I Stop Working Out Altogether and Switch to Emsculpt?
No. There is no replacement for the health benefits of regular exercise. Emsculpt is an excellent complement to exercise and a great way to see results quickly, but nothing should replace regular physical activity and balanced eating.
However, this treatment can do wonders for those who can’t exercise because of medical reasons or just need help maintaining their muscle mass.
What’s the Difference Between Emsculpt And CoolSculpting?
They are completely different and the two treatments work well together. CoolSculpting freezes and destroys fat cells and is FDA cleared for permanent fat reduction. Emsculpt on the other hand, targets muscles, building muscle tissue and toning and defining your body. Emsculpt after a course of CoolSculpting treatments will greatly enhance your results.
